In life, your experiences form and shape you in significant ways. Some of these moments are joyous, and others may have left you feeling confused, alone, or unsure of yourself. Some experiences may even be life-altering. When these experiences happen, it can impact the way you view yourself, others, and the world around you. You may even find yourself living life on autopilot: moving throughout the world without deep thought or feeling - simply doing. Well, I believe there is more to life than that. With support (and a lot of work), you can learn about the depths of yourself and reconnect with the people and things that reinvigorate you.

Do you find yourself in a position where you recognize that something is amiss in your life, but have difficulty knowing where to start your healing journey? I believe therapy can be an opportunity to look inward at parts of yourself, some that may be unknown to you, and explore how these parts of you are played out in your relationships. Reflecting on these old stuck patterns can help you heal and evolve. It can also give you the chance to understand who you want to be and what you need in order to truly thrive. I know there is far more to you than the bad things that have happened – so I want to celebrate the wonderful parts of who you are too! I believe laughter is one of God’s greatest creations, and I hope to make our time together one that you can enjoy.

My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning that I use techniques from several theories about how people change. My foundation is rooted in relational psychoanalysis - I see our early developmental relationships and experiences as a guide for who we become. I believe the therapeutic relationship is powerful, and can help us engage in new ways and learn more about our connection with ourselves and others.

Beginning therapy can be daunting, and finding the right therapist can often be a challenge. I’d like to make the process as easy as possible for you! I offer a free 15-minute consultation via phone call where I can learn a bit more about your experience while answering any questions you might have. If you feel like it might be a good fit for you, we can move forward with scheduling a session.
